Lori Wiest assumed the office of president July 1, 2011. Dr. Wiest is Associate Professor of Music at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington where she is Director of Choral Activities and the conductor of the WSU Concert Choir and Madrigal Singers. She teaches Choral Conducting and graduate courses in Choral History/Literature and Choral Conducting. A. Hafso, Vice-President, Marc's term as vice-president will be from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2013. He is Professor and Director
of Choral and Vocal Activities at Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington. He
attended Pacific Lutheran University, the University of Arizona and
Michigan State University, where he earned B.A., M.M., and D.M.A.

Tim Fitzpatrick was elected to the position of President-Elect for WA-ACDA and will assume the presidency July 1, 2013. Tim received his Bachelor of Arts from Western Washington University in Bellingham and his Master of Music from The University of Texas in Austin. As a resident of San Francisco, he freelanced as choral conductor, church musician, accompanist and vocal coach, studying choral conducting San Francisco State University. Since returning to Bellingham he served as collaborative accompanist at Western Washington University earned a second Master of Music degree in choral conducting and was recently tenured WWU as Associate Professor of Choral Music and Vocal Education. Tim is the emeritus artistic director and founder of the Bellingham Chamber Chorale. Active as a guest conductor, choral adjudicator, and clinician throughout the Northwest and Canada, he has served eight years on the executive board of Washington State ACDA.

ACDA is divided into seven geographic regions
and fifty state chapters. National conventions are held in February
or March of odd numbered years and divisional conventions take place
during the same time of year in even numbered years. If you are a choral director, we urge you to join ACDA. You will find a cordial welcome and hundreds of colleagues. Our publications and conventions provide a wealth of practical ideas and a forum for developing your skills. You can also enjoy the links to some of our colleges and university choral programs as well as find information on many community, professional, and children's choral groups in the state.
