s program chair for the Washington State ACDA Summer Institute, I cordially invite you to participate in our inspiring and refreshing annual Summer Institute held on the beautiful campus of the University of Puget Sound, July 25 – 27, 2012.
We are privileged to feature headliner, Rodney Eichenberger. Rod has taught choral conducting throughout the world as a member of the faculty of three universities, as a frequent guest artist at workshops and seminars of choral conducting.
His educational videos, What They See Is What You Get and Enhancing Musicality through Movement, are favorite tools among choral music educators.
In addition to Rod’s insights on conducting, rehearsal and literature, the Institute offers a wide variety of reading and interest sessions presented by our region’s finest choral conductors, public school teachers and music specialists.
If you have attended in the past, you know the how valuable they can be in supporting your work in the choral arts. Please take a moment to look over the schedule-at-glance and plan on attending again this summer.
